What is the ATC?
The Air Training Corps (ATC) was established to prepare young men for national service.
Nowadays the ATC has totally different priorities, the ATC helps young people gain skills that can be used later in life.
There are three main Aims of the ATC:
-To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
-To provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life.
-To foster the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and
good citizenship.
The ATC is open to all young people, male or female, from all sorts of backgrounds.
