New cadets are always welcome.

To join you should to be at least 13 years old.

Joining couldn't be easier, simply turn up at the Squadron buildings on one of the parade nights. You will be shown around the squadron, by one of the NCO's and introduced to the Commanding Officer.

If you would like to know more information, please contact us.

You can contact the Commanding Officer, Flight Lieutenant Simon Povey, by filling in the form in the Contact Us section.

Information for Parents...

The Squadron is located at the rear of the RAFA Wings club, Ruthin Road, Wrexham.

We parade on Monday and Friday evenings, usually between 6.45 and 9.30 p.m.

What costs are involved?

Initially none...

New recruits complete a probationary period, usually of around 3 months.  This is to ensure that the ATC and the individual are compatible and that they want to stay with us.  During the probation, cadets are taught basic skills and gain an understanding about the ATC and what can be achieved through membership.

Once this probationary period is over, we will send a set of paperwork home for parents to give full consent to take part in all ATC activities.  The new cadet is then formally enrolled and issued with their uniform...

Annual subscriptions become payable once a cadet is enrolled, this is currently set at £18 per quarter and can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually (in advance).  The cost of uniform is included in this subscription (please not however that all uniform issued remains the property of the RAF and should be returned when a cadet leaves the Corps).

If you have any further queries, please contact a member of staff at the Squadron or speak with the Commanding Officer.
